Terms & Conditions — DeltaSchool

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the DeltaSchool mobile application ("the App"), provided by Kartikey Tripathi ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who May Use DeltaSchool

DeltaSchool is provided exclusively to educational institutions ("Schools") that have entered into an arrangement with us to use the platform, and to the administrators, faculty, students, and parents/guardians authorized by that School to access it. You may only create or use an account if:

  • You have been issued credentials by an authorized School administrator, or
  • You are a parent/guardian accessing the platform on behalf of your enrolled child.

Self-registration by unaffiliated members of the public is not available.

2. Roles & Permitted Use

The App provides three access levels — Admin, Faculty, and Student/Parent — each with different permissions strictly enforced on our servers. You agree to:

  • Use the App only for legitimate school-management purposes consistent with your assigned role
  • Not attempt to access data, functions, or accounts outside your assigned role or School
  • Not share your login credentials with any other person
  • Not upload content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes another person's rights

2A. No Student-to-Student Direct Messaging

The App does not permit direct one-to-one messaging between students. All chat functionality occurs within School-created "rooms" that are subject to admin oversight, for the safety of all users, particularly minors.

3. Payments

DeltaSchool facilitates the recording and tracking of fee and salary payments. It does not process, hold, or transmit funds itself:

  • UPI payments are made directly between a parent/guardian and the School via third-party apps (e.g. GPay, PhonePe, Paytm). DeltaSchool is used only to share a receipt/screenshot and have the School Admin verify and confirm the payment.
  • Cash, bank, and cheque payments are recorded by an authorized Admin using their own School-issued PIN, and constitute the School's own transaction record, not a payment processed by us.
  • We are not a payment gateway, bank, or financial institution, and hold no liability for the underlying transfer of funds between parents and Schools.
  • All transaction records, once created, are immutable and cannot be altered or deleted, to preserve financial integrity. Status changes (e.g. pending → approved) are recorded transparently with the responsible approver and timestamp.

4. Content & Data Accuracy

Schools and their Admins/Faculty are responsible for the accuracy of academic, attendance, and profile data entered into the App. We are not responsible for decisions made by a School based on data entered by its own staff.

5. Intellectual Property

The DeltaSchool App, its design, and underlying software are the property of Kartikey Tripathi and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Schools and users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App for its intended purpose. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the App outside the terms agreed with your School's licensing arrangement.

6. Availability & Changes

We aim to keep the App available and functioning reliably, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time as the platform develops. We will make reasonable efforts to notify Schools of material changes affecting their use.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Kartikey Tripathi shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App. The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for any account found to be in violation of these Terms, misusing the platform, or attempting to circumvent role-based access controls. A School may discontinue use of the App at any time in accordance with its own arrangement with us.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, India.
